Aerial #photographs of the site are a source we frequently use. These are from 1973 (with all #farm #buildings) and 1978. The #Roman town field has probably been spread with lime, making the Roman road pattern quite clear from the air. #heritage https://t.co/1ZL4d2D7K0
A whole garden full of poppies; the seeds can lie dormant for 50-100 years. Many seem to be ornamental poppies, grown to make a bright display. It is possible that they were also grown for medicinal purposes. #heritage https://t.co/vBPjueDOLS
